Back and Bra Area Liposuction
Eliminate Upper Back and Bra Area Bulges, Permanently
Unsightly flab and fat bulging around upper back? Does your bra cut into excess fat in upper body? SmartLipo Back Liposuction or Liposculpting is the answer to look and feel better in your clothes. Men and women find this procedure is a dramatic improvement to their appearance. Upper body and back liposuction permanently removes fat from above the waste and below the shoulder blades, as well as along the sides of the back and around the bra area.
Women enjoy not having to deal with the battle of the bra bulges and men experience improved confidence after the dense, excess layers of fat are removed from the back and upper body. SmartLipo liposculpting creates new contours and reveals a more tapered, slim torso.
The fat deposits that develop in the upper back area tend to be very fibrous and dense. It is best to combine SmartLipo liposuction with the Vaser and Smart Lipo technique to achieve optimum results. When the techniques are combined the vibration breaks down the fibers of the fat. This fat removal process is less invasive and abrasive to the body, and easier than traditional liposuction.
The SmartLipo Liposculpting surgical procedure is the safest way to achieve your physical goals, aside from diet and exercise. Unfortunately, the diet and exercise method does not work on local fat areas that are "programmed" into the body, and traditional liposuction is a riskier surgery that requires anesthesia and involves scarring.
The SmartLipo technique is safe, the recovery process is quick and the results are amazing.
Here is how it works!
First, a local anesthetic is used to numb the back. With the SmartLipo technique, only a local anesthetic is used to numb the area and the patient remains coherent throughout the procedure, which is very safe and relatively painless during recovery. Tiny incisions are then placed along the sides of the back, allowing the doctor to insert the cannula, sculpt and trim your sides, from the shoulder blades to the waist. The cannula used to remove the fat is only about 3mm wide. Then, a laser is used to gently melt the fat directly under the skin and to encourage skin-tightening. Sometimes the surgeon may use Vaser to help melt the dense fat in this area. Through the 3mm incisions, the surgeon slowly guides the cannula to the targeted areas to remove the excess fat with precision and resulting in less pain, bruising and downtime for the patient.
All procedures are performed on site at our state-of-the-art clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona. Again, SmartLipo Liposuction is the safest alternative to traditional liposuction. Here are some other advantages to the SmartLipo technique:
- SmartLipo Liposuction is a safe, permanent, lasting procedure that eliminates love handles and extra fat. Once the fat cells are removed, the body cannot make new ones, so they are gone for good.
- The SmartLipo procedure lasts only an hour or two, depending on the designated fat removal. This technique is designed to safely remove fat and tighten the area, simultaneously.
- There is very little pain after surgery, minimal incisions and little potential of scarring after the healing process.
- Since SmartLipo Liposculpting is performed with only light sedation, most patients return to normal activity and work within 24 to 48 hours.
What are the benefits of back liposuction?
Upper torso and Back Liposuction result in permanent elimination of bra bulges and lumpy back syndrome. The outcomes of having this procedure are many, for example: better fitting clothes, improved confidence, tighter skin, and a more contoured back and youthful physique. Those are just a few of the reasons patients choose liposuction to remove the fatty deposits along their back and sides. The SmartLipo liposuction procedure reduces these fatty deposits, naturally sculpting and tapering the back down to the waistline.
What should I expect from the procedure?
SmartLipo liposuction or liposculpting is performed on-site in our safe, state-of-the-art clinic, so there are no additional fees. Patients are lightly sedated with a local anesthesia, so they remain awake and coherent throughout the surgery. The process is simple, patients are numbed and then two small incisions are made near the love handles for the placement of the cannula, the small tubular instrument that acts as vacuum to remove the fat. The cannula is only 3 mm in size, so it leaves no unsightly scars. This liposuction lasts only an hour and patients are able to walk out of the office with a newly sculpted body and refined image. Patients are not permitted to drive, however. Each patient will need to be picked up after the surgery and driven home.
How can I tell if I am a good candidate for back Liposuction?
SmartLipo Liposuction of the back is a safe procedure for most men and women who have a high accumulation of dense, fatty deposits along the sides or across the breadth of the back. It is recommended that patients are in good health when undergoing any surgery to reduce risks and potential complications. This procedure is not a means of removing weight in excess, it is a more a procedure to remove moderate amounts of fat and contour the mid-section and waist area of the body. Anyone who has had a gastric bypass or has lost more than 100 pounds may need to consider skin tightening procedures for excess, loose skin. This procedure is recommended for people that have fatty deposits and flab that does not respond to exercise or diet.
Can back Liposuction be combined with other procedures?
Sure thing. As a matter of fact, many of our patients choose to have Back Liposculpture done in conjunction with other procedures, like abdominal or upper arm liposculpting. We invite you to couple this procedure according to your individual needs and the recommendations of the surgeon.
Will the surgery leave scars or excess, sagging skin?
Only one or two small incisions will be visible after Back Liposuction and each is only 3 mm wide. These incision marks heal very quickly after the surgery and scarring is usually not an issue, because they are so small and they fade to the blend into the natural color of the skin.
People below the age of 60 with good skin tone will not experience sagging skin after the surgery, which is another benefit of the SmartLipo liposuction technique. This procedure is designed to promote skin tightening as the fat is removed. Unless your skin is already very thin, wrinkled, or lax due to aging or dramatic weight loss, you will usually see an improvement in skin tone and firmness. Older patients and people who experience considerable weight loss actually pursue SmartLipo liposuction as a solution to sagging, flabby skin.
What are the post-op side effects of back and upper body liposuction?
Because SmartLipo Liposuction is such a safe and targeted procedure that utilizes refined instruments to perform the surgery, the side effects are minimal and any discomfort or mild soreness goes away within a day or two. There are no stitches and the tiny puncture wounds heal within two days. Patients may have mild discomfort and perhaps some light bruising, but they can walk, resume normal activities and return to work within 24 to 48 hours. A compression garment similar to a girdle will be worn around the torso for 3 days and nights, and then at least 8 hours a day for 2 weeks. Some patients may experience bruising or swelling after the procedure. Good results can be seen within a few weeks, final results within six months. While it does take a while for the swelling to go down, there is usually minimal to no pain involved.
